• Transfer the entire User Library to the new computer and update the location in Live's preferences (Library tab). Live automatically remembers sample references when the samples are located inside the User Library. If you are moving from Windows to Mac or vice versa remember that only the VST format is cross platform.

Mac:  Macintosh HD/Users/username/Music/Ableton/User Library Instead of the default location, you can set a custom path to your User Library. It can be stored in any local folder or on an external drive. In Live's Preferences' Library tab, just click the 'Browse' button and choose your preferred location.

What is Ableton Live?

Installation on a Mac

Open the DMG and drag Live to your applications folder. Then open Live and follow the instructions there. If you want to uninstall the trial at any point, you can find help here.
