Sometimes I write songs because I like the way the words sound. This song started that way, a tune and refrain that I woke up with one morning. I just started writing whatever came into my head and a theme developed without advance planning.

I’ve been to many of them.I named the song West Virginia Wigout in honor of pastor Phil Dunn, who rarely misses a chance of a Sunday to mention how much he loves West Virginia, and of whom, if you saw his shiny head, you might well think that someone had thrown his wig out.
